My beautiful friend Emily inspires me. We built a magnificent fort in my room for her 27th birthday. Who says you’re only a kid once?
I wanted to keep this fort up for weeks, it was so dreamy. Sadly it only lasted one. It’s not easy going from high ceilings to draped fabric that hits the top of your head as you walk.
Emily is a very talented musician. We filmed a music video for her this last February, outside in the dead of winter. We decided to take some stills after shooting. It’s much easier to hide the fact that you’re freezing cold in a photograph opposed to a video.
(614) magazine’s live music showcase.
This month, (614) Magazine brought some incredible musicians to play in the Live Music Showcase. My personal favorite band The Dew Droppers got everyone either tappin’ their feet or moving their hips. Also putting on an excellent show was The New Basics Brass Band, and Strangers in Daylight.
the childlike empress.
My good friend Brittany has a gorgeous head piece that inspired this photo shoot. I like to call it the childlike empress head piece. It would fit right into The Neverending Story. Brittany is a dancer, and has such graceful movements. These photos can been seen hanging in my photography show at Impero Coffee for the next month.
the dick and jane project.
This summer, I had the privilege of photographing for The Dick and Jane Project. They are a non-profit organization that brings young people and professional musicians together to write songs. This particular photo shoot was during a summer session with a few students from Weinland Park. Their songs can be found on The Dick and Jane Project website.
